Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party vs. Jollywood Nights 2026
Walt Disney World’s two holiday parties return with different parks and schedules. Compare their dates and entry windows before choosing a night.

Walt Disney World’s 2026 holiday calendar offers two separately ticketed evenings: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios. Both are after-hours events, but they happen in different parks and use different schedules. Choose based on the park atmosphere your group wants and how each date fits your trip.
The schedule
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights from Nov. 8 through Dec. 22. Guests may enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m.; the party starts at 7 p.m. Disney’s announcement includes seasonal entertainment, holiday treats and event-specific offerings.
Jollywood Nights is scheduled on select dates from Nov. 7 through Jan. 5, 2027. Entry begins at 5:30 p.m., the event runs from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and Disney describes it as limited capacity. Neither event ticket should be assumed to include daytime park admission; verify ticket terms for your date.
Choose Magic Kingdom for a castle-centered evening
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the fit if Magic Kingdom is central to your trip. Its 4 p.m. entry window gives ticket holders time before the party officially begins. The event does not run every night, so compare its calendar with your hotel stay and park plans. Disney has announced discounts for some eligible Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members; check current terms directly.
If you visit another park earlier that day, account for transportation and rest before the late evening.
Choose Jollywood for Hollywood Studios
Jollywood has a later start and a Hollywood Studios setting. Disney says Glisten returns, with Donald, Daisy and Genie, and Kermit and Miss Piggy host “Disney Holidays in Hollywood.” A new Checkin’ It Twice Lounge is planned for Animation Courtyard.
Dates include selected Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays, plus Jan. 3 and 5. Disney says ticket prices vary by date, so check the actual night instead of relying on a general estimate.
How to decide
Start with the park you most want to experience, then compare the party date with arrival and departure days. An after-hours party can make an early park opening the next morning harder. Allow time to eat, travel and rest; a full park day followed by a late event may not suit everyone.
If entertainment details matter most, recheck Disney’s schedule near your visit because offerings can change. Choose the event that complements your itinerary and budget; you do not need to attend both to enjoy a holiday night at Walt Disney World.
Ticket and trip-planning details worth checking
Both parties are separately ticketed, so treat the event admission as its own purchase and read the current terms before you pay. Confirm whether your selected ticket is date-specific, what arrival window applies, and what the event page says about park admission. Do not assume a daytime ticket automatically includes the evening party, or that a party ticket covers a full day in that park. Those distinctions affect the day’s budget and how many park visits you need.
Before choosing a date, compare more than the event calendar. Look at the rest of your itinerary, including travel days, restaurant reservations and any early starts. If the party is your last night, a later finish may be manageable; if it is followed by a rope-drop morning, plan for a shorter park day or a rest period. Consider whether your hotel location makes returning late straightforward.
The date lists are selective, and the events may not operate every night. Holiday-week dates can be attractive because of trip timing, but they may also be popular. Check availability and the actual ticket price before making plans. If a date is sold out or too expensive, compare other open nights first; do not assume the same entertainment is available elsewhere in the park on a regular operating day.
For a group with mixed interests, ask each person to pick a priority: specific characters or entertainment, attractions, seasonal atmosphere, or convenient timing. Then compare the event’s confirmed program with those priorities. Avoid promising that every listed character or show will be available at every moment; schedules and operations can change. The best choice is the evening that gives your group the parts it cares about while still leaving enough time to rest and enjoy the park.
A useful rule is to compare the event against a normal park day you would otherwise buy. If the night’s unique entertainment is a priority, the separate ticket may make sense. If your group mainly wants rides and daytime park time, consider whether a regular visit better matches the budget. Recheck the calendar before buying.
